We organized a poster and slogan competition with the participation of all our teachers and students. There were many participants who voted. All posters were beautiful from each other. Thanks to all the contestants who participated in the contest.

About our project

Sustainable World with 3R's

The waste hierarchy consists of 3 R’s as follows:

1. Reduce
2. Reuse
3. Recycle

Called the “three R’s” of waste management, this waste hierarchy is the guidance suggested for creating a sustainable life.

So, what is “waste hierarchy” ?

It is the order of priority of actions to be taken to reduce the amount of waste generated, and to improve overall waste management processes and programs.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.And 12th goal is based on the '3R's'.

-Reduce, -Reuse, -Recycle

You might be wondering as to how can you incorporate these principles in your daily life. They are not hard to implement.

In this Project; Our aim is bringing small changes in our daily lifestyle to reduce waste with teachers, students and parents altogether.

In this project the main aim that we want to achieve is to provide education-teaching unity among students through national-international project activities and to realize permanent learning experiences.

The other aims are:

-To reduce the amount of garbage and prevent the depletion of resources.

-Producing with waste materials, developing hand crafts.

-To protect the environment and nature.

-Ensuring the production and sharing with waste materials.

-Developing recycling awareness and making it widespread.

-To cooperate among the teachers, students and parents.

-To make awareness in our environment about waste materials and recycling.

Our project will begin in February and finish in May.

February:

-Introduction of the partners,

-Pre-test both for students and teachers

-To make online meeting,

-To make face to face meeting for local partners,

-Competition for poster and slogan among partners,

-To make social media accounts and blog,

-KAHOOT,

-Internet Safety Day,

March:

-To start a campaign for collecting wasting materials,

-To make 3D paintings with waste materials for making the awareness,

-To celebrate the 'World Water Day'

April:

-Collecting waste materials,

-To make souvenir with using the waste materials,

-Designing clothes with using these wasting materials,

May:

-Celebrating eTwinning day with partners,

-Final-test for both teachers and pupils,

-Dissemination of the project,

-Exhibition of the materials that was created throughout the project,

-Visiting Nursery Home and giving presents the souvenirs that was made in April,

Through these activities: students will gain the skills of:

-developing hand skills,

- creating environmental awareness,

-obtaining a product and sharing what they produce

-cooperating and team work

-developing recycling awareness

-reducing the consumption.
